Be qualified to operate all types of EWP'sElevating Work Platform Licence Course (boom length over 11m)
TLILIC0005 – Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
This handy EWP licensed course results in a high risk WP licence class used in the many sectors that require personnel to perform tasks from height on EWP’s. This is different to the ‘RIIHAN301E – Operate Elevated Work Platform‘ which includes scissor lift training, that students often partake in also, as an expectation of some employers, site supervisors and safety officers.
This elevated work platform involves the operation of a telescoping device, telescoping straight booms and booms with articulating jibs, or any combination of these used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work.
EWP Ticket (under 11m) aka Scissor Lift Course
RIIHAN301E – Operate Elevated Work Platform (under 11m)
This EWP ticket (EWP’s under 11m) is used in the many sectors that require personnel to perform tasks from height on EWP’s. It involves the operation of EWP types such as those that vertical lift, boom lift, scissor lift, truck or trailer mounted lift or any combination of these used to support an elevating platform while performing work.
This is different to the ‘TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)’ course mentioned above, which can result in a WP licensed outcome upon successful assessment and application, that students often complete as an expectation of some site supervisors/safety officers.
This unit is most closely associated with the EWPA’s Yellow Card (please note that this course or On the Job Training have no official association with the EWPA). It is however the unit that the EWPA delivers as part of their ‘Yellow Card’ program, is nationally recognised training and competence in this unit is valid for operating EWP’s under 11m throughout Australia. Please note state safety authorities’ regulations may differ with regards to EWP operation requirements
EWP Ticket Course (boom-type under 11m)
TLID3035 – Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (under 11m)
This EWP ticket course (boom type under 11m) is used in the many sectors that require personnel to perform tasks from height on boom type EWP’s with a boom length less than 11m. It involves the operation of a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device or any combination of these used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work.
It is also different to the ‘RIIHAN301E – Operate an elevating work platform’ which includes use of vertical lift EWP’s and scissor lifts up to 11m.
