RIIHAN301E – Operate Elevated Work Platform.

Kick start your career in construction and learn to operate the range of Elevated Work Platforms in Australia.

  • Truck Mounted

This unit generally covers all states and territories for all scissor lifts, and work platforms with a boom length of less than 11m.

It is also a requirement and recognised in the mining and resources sectors.

For Elevated work platforms with a boom length of over 11m, A “WP” HRWL is required and you can find a link to that course offering here.

RIIWHS204D – Work Safely at Heights

Where precautions are not taken when working at heights, the results can be catastrophic causing personal injury and more. Hazards involved in the risk from working at heights include unstable or poorly maintained equipment, weather conditions, fragile roofs, voids, deterioration of materials, slopes and the vertical distance of a fall. Our Working at Heights training is delivered with an emphasis on risk assessment and safety precautions.

The training in its current form meets the criteria set out in the state and territory licensing and unit of competency requirements.

The course content will teach you how to identify work requirements, procedures, and instructions necessary to work safely at heights along with the installation of associated safety equipment. It will also give a detailed description of the various tasks performed when working at heights and finally the cleaning, maintaining and storing of relevant equipment.

RIIWHS202E – Enter & Work in Confined Spaces/ with MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres

Our confined space training course will run the participants through such areas as planning to work in a confined space, preparing to work in a confined space, working in a confined space, exiting from a confined space and cleaning up once the task has been completed. We run the working at heights training program in Stapylton on the Gold Coast or Onsite.

The skills and knowledge that you obtain during the Confined Space Training course is suitable for working in confined spaces across a wide range of industries including the Resources Sector, Quarrying, Drilling, Agriculture, Councils/Government, Defence, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry, Defence and Civil Construction industries.

The training site has 8 cranes which uniquely gives you the opportunity to get hands on with all the relevant cranes for a licence - not just some. Our aim is to give you the confidence you need on site after gaining your basic, intermediate or advanced accreditations. In addition to dogging, rigging and crane operating courses, we also offer all levels of scaffolding, work platform and forklift training.
