Yes! Eligible participants may access CSQ funding, which can cover a significant portion of course costs, if not all of it. Our team can guide you through the eligibility and application process.
Yes! OTJT offers night courses every 3-6 weeks for select courses or split across different weeks. Ideal for those working during the day or FIFO workers needing more flexibility.
Yes! Some courses offer optional blended learning so you can you can knock over your theory online before you arrive, so your time on site is all about getting hands-on and building the skills you need.
Most high-risk courses run 4–5 days (or nights, some with a Sat morning), hoist EWP & forklift 2 days (or 3 nights), while earthmoving units can range from 1–2 days, depending on the student’s experience. Custom course plans and combo deals are available.
Absolutely. OTJT offers multi-ticket and combo course options, especially across our Earthmoving and High-Risk categories. It’s a cost-effective way to gain multiple qualifications in one go.
Perfect if you’re up-skilling for site versatility or applying for jobs requiring more than one ticket.
You’ll need to be at least 18 years old, provide 100 points of ID, and complete an LLN & Digital Literacy Skills Check.
Some courses also require competence in previous units, like Dogging for Rigging.
No prior experience is required for most entry-level courses like Forklift or Dogging.
For Intermediate or Advanced Rigging, you’ll need to complete the level before it or already hold a crane licence for the open class crane ticket.
Yes! OTJT provides tailored corporate and group training packages, either at our Stapylton yard or on-site (if conditions allow).
We’ll work with you to align course content, scheduling, and outcomes with your project and compliance needs.
You’ll be entitled to one reassessment at no cost. If additional attempts are needed, fees may apply.
Our trainers will help you prepare thoroughly before assessments.
Upon successful HRWL assessment, you’ll receive a Candidate Assessment Summary (CAS) so you can apply for your licence online as soon as you receive the invitation to do so from Worksafe Queensland, then get to work straight away.
It takes up to 3 weeks to receive your HRWL in the post.
