This unit covers operating a wheeled front end loader for stockpiling, loading trucks, backfilling, and spreading materials. You’ll complete tasks using a 4-in-1 bucket, practice safe site movements, and build machine confidence.
This hands-on course trains you to use a bobcat-style machine for civil work. Tasks include trenching, levelling, lifting, stockpiling and pushing materials in confined areas using various attachments. Ideal for tight-access jobs.
You’ll learn to safely operate an integrated tool carrier, change out attachments, lift loads with forks, and navigate uneven terrain. Perfect for plant operators working with versatile material-handling machines.
This course trains you in the safe operation of a ride-on roller for road prep and surface compaction. Learn compaction techniques, use vibration controls, avoid soft spots and manage sloped surfaces.
Gain experience operating an articulated dump truck on simulated civil sites. Also known as a Moxy, you’ll load, transport and tip materials while learning load limits, haul road safety, tipping zones and visibility checks.
Courses are nationally recognised and CSQ-funded for eligible students. These courses no longer result in a licensed outcome. Competent students will be issued with a certificate (Statement of Attainment) and a wallet-sized card issued by OTJ Training as proof of their competence in each machine.
